The School represents the Guardia di Finanza's advanced training support, aimed at ensuring the continuous implementation of the professional skills for the Corps' personnel.
In doing so, its management and trainers take into account the different operational exigencies, as well as the evolution of the National and European Legislation in multiple areas where the Guardia di Finanza performs its functions, lightening the most current subjects and issues.
Therefore, the Tax Police School's mission has to be found in:
- the performance of its original functions, that's to say "provide to the organisation and the execution of refresher and specialization courses for Officers and Non Commissioned Officers of the Guardia di Finanza", as it is established in the Act October 29th 1965,n. 1218, and furthermore "in the preparation of any other qualification or specialization course provided by the General Headquarters", as it is established in the Minister of Finance's Decree dated June 13th 1967;
- the implementation of the guidelines established by the General Headquarters in the Yearly Training Plan and in the other provisions issued each time.
In this strategic framework, the School takes care of:
- the High Education of all the personnel of the Guardia di Finanza, according to the different areas of employment, and, in particular, the High Qualification of the future Managers of the Corps;
- the organisation and the realization of training projects at a large scale, directed to EU Member States' Officers or Officials as well as to the ones coming from non-EU countries;
- the promotion of projects for study, research and innovation, in co-operation the most prestigious Bodies and Organisations from the Scientific, Academic and Institutional environment, both national and foreigner, taking care of the publication of various journals, books and essays.
